Volunteer Committees
We have organized our volunteers into committees and interest groups to make progress in the following areas. We are working on adding more groups as the season progresses. Some are to add and expand on operational functions, others are opportunities to engage and educate the community on our mission. Regardless of the area, we are always looking for more volunteers to help and assist our core group in expanding and developing these projects.

Marketing
- T-shirt design contest, online marketing, flyers, swag, harvest calendar
Volunteer Recruitment
- Volunteer event marketing, recruitment process, website updates
Newsletter
- Content creation, interviewing, photography, and education
Gardenin’ Angels
- Part time gardening assistance for those in need
Compost Education Center
- Biochar, 4-bin compost system, vermiculture, classes and events
Outreach Events
- Homegrown festival, bike tours, and tomato tastings
Permaculture/Sustainability
- Auditing all gardens and proposing ways to incorporate permaculture design principles
Hoop-house by SELMA

Biodiversity in the Garden
- Help with research by PhD student into how plant diversity affects insect diversity and migration
Garden Variety Rap
